About

Built by a broker who still makes the calls.

BlockBook is built by a working real estate broker in Los Angeles at one of the largest brokerages in the world — who still makes the calls.

It started in commercial real estate, as a cold-calling notebook. Every call day began the same way: a spreadsheet of a few hundred addresses, a column of owner phone numbers, and notes scattered across a legal pad, a phone, and a CRM nobody opened. None of it showed where the buildings were. A voicemail left in March was impossible to find in June, right when the owner finally called back.

So the notebook moved onto a map. Every building became a pin. Clicking one showed the street view, the parcel, and everything the owner had said so far. Logging a call took one tap. A note dictated in the car landed on the right building. Lists followed the street instead of the alphabet.

Other brokers saw it and wanted it. That is how a personal notebook became real estate software for anyone who works a list of properties: brokers, agents, and acquisitions professionals, commercial or residential.

BlockBook is still built the same way. Every feature starts as a real problem from a real call day, and anything that doesn’t help you see, remember, or organize your book doesn’t make the cut. No pipelines to configure, no fields to design. Import the list you already have and start working it.
