BlockBook MCP server for real estate

Connect Claude or ChatGPT to your map.

BlockBook has its own MCP server. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard AI assistants use to work with other apps. Connect it once, and Claude or ChatGPT can read and update your map directly, from the chat you already use.

You don’t need it to use BlockBook. BlockBuddy, the assistant inside the app, needs no setup. The connection is the advanced route: large migrations, and people who already live in an AI assistant.

What it can do

Import large spreadsheets

Hand it a CoStar or Reonomy export with thousands of rows. It adds every property to your map in batches, matches each address to its county parcel, and catches duplicates by APN, not address spelling. It can put everything on a list as it goes.

Log calls and notes

Tell it what happened on a call. It adds the note to the right building, updates the status, and sets the follow-up date.

Ask about any building

"What did the owner of 234 S Brand say in March?" "Who on 6th Street hasn't heard from me in 30 days?" "What did I work on this week?" It answers from your own notes.

Bring in comps and organize lists

Add sales comps so they sit on the same map as your properties. Create, rename, and fill lists without leaving the chat.

Set it up

  1. In BlockBook, open the settings gear (top right) and choose AI Connector.
  2. Click Create link. Your private link is copied for you. Treat it like a password.
  3. In Claude or ChatGPT, open Settings, find Connectors, and add a custom connector named "BlockBook". Paste your link and save.
  4. Start a new chat and switch BlockBook on.

Works with Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI assistants that support custom MCP connectors. Already had a chat open? Start a fresh one after connecting so your assistant sees BlockBook.

Your map stays yours

  • Your link only reaches your own properties, notes, and lists.
  • Nothing gets deleted through your assistant unless you type the word “Delete” yourself.
  • BlockBook shows when each link was last used, and you can revoke it any time.
